Noreast viseworks

Branding| Logos | Advertising | animation | Apparel

Nor'East Viseworks is a New England based small business handcrafting fly tying vises. The brand needed an identity that reflected both the craftsmanship behind the product and its regional roots. The process started with a range of logo directions, working through illustrative marks, type treatments, and compositional variations before landing on the final identity. A coastal lighthouse and fly rod motif anchors the mark, connecting the brand to the Northeast coastline and the fly tying community it was built for. Ad concepts and an animated intro extended the identity into marketing-ready assets built around the tagline, Taking Fly Tying by Storm.

Nor'East Viseworks started with an existing 'home made' mark under Beavertail Rod and Reef that had built up local recognition but wasn't built to scale into a product brand. The goal was to carry that familiarity forward while creating something that could stand on its own for a fly tying vise company. We explored four distinct directions, each pulling from the coastal New England roots and the lighthouse motif that already resonated with his audience. The final selection landed on a mark that felt both familiar and purpose built, ready to live on packaging, merch, and marketing from day one.
