Branding FAQ
Q: What types of branding and design projects do you take on?
A: Brand identity and design systems, logo design, packaging, web design visuals, print and advertising design, and extended brand support. The goal is always consistency across touchpoints, not one-off assets that don’t match.
Q: Do you do logos only, or full brand identity systems?
A: Both. Logo-only is possible, but most brands benefit from a logo suite plus the supporting system: typography, color, layout rules, and real-world examples so the brand holds up across web, print, packaging, and social.
Q: Can you work with an existing brand, or only new brands?
A: Both. I can refresh and expand an existing identity or build a new one from the ground up. The goal is to keep what’s working, fix what isn’t, and create a system that’s easier to use moving forward.
Q: What deliverables do I receive for branding projects?
A: Deliverables vary by scope, but typically include a logo suite, color and typography system, supporting elements, and export files for web and print. If packaging, ads, or web visuals are part of the project, those are included as designed deliverables with production-ready files.
Q: Do you offer packaging and print design as part of branding?
A: Yes. Packaging, print, and advertising are often where brands either look legit or fall apart. If you need your brand to work in the real world, packaging and print collateral can be built into the system from the start.
Q: Do you offer ongoing design support after the brand is launched?
A: Yes. If you need help keeping things consistent, I offer extended brand support for campaigns, new touch points, and assets that come up as your business grows.
Photography FAQ
Q: What types of photography do you offer?
A: Commercial photography including product photography, food photography, lifestyle content, portraits, automotive, drone and aerial, plus brand-aligned visual content built for web, social, advertising, and campaigns.
Q: Do you have a studio and professional lighting?
A: Yes. I can shoot with controlled studio lighting when the project calls for it, especially for product or food photography, small tabletop setups, and clean, consistent e-commerce imagery. For lifestyle or location-driven work, on-site shoots, or larger produced studio work is also available.
Q: Can you create themed sets or custom scenes for a shoot?
A: Yes. If you want a specific look or mood, I can build sets and themes that match your brand, from clean and minimal to more styled environments with props and textures. We’ll confirm the direction, shot list, and any styling needs during the call so the visuals feel intentional and on-brand.
Q: How do photography projects work?
A: We confirm goals, shot list, timeline, and where the images will be used. Then we plan the shoot, capture the content efficiently, and deliver final edited images sized for the platforms you need.
Q: Can you shoot product photography remotely if I’m not local?
A: Often, yes. Products can be shipped for a remote shoot depending on the project, timeline, and styling needs. We’ll confirm details during the call and make sure expectations are clear before anything is sent.
Q: Do you help with shot lists and styling direction?
A: Yes. If you have a shot list, great. If not, I can build one based on your products, brand, and where the images will be used. Styling can be minimal and clean or more layered depending on the vibe.
Process FAQ
Q: Is a call required before starting?
A: Yes. After you submit the form, we’ll schedule a quick call to confirm details, align on goals, and make sure scope, timeline, and budget make sense before quoting and scheduling.
Q: What happens after the call?
A: You’ll get clear next steps and a recommended scope. For larger projects, I’ll outline phases and deliverables so you know exactly what’s included and what success looks like.
Q: How do revisions work?
A: Revisions are built into the process and depend on scope. The goal is to get to a strong solution efficiently, with clear feedback checkpoints instead of endless rounds.
Q: Do you work with tight deadlines?
A: Sometimes. If a timeline is tight, I’ll tell you quickly whether it’s realistic and what would need to be prioritized. If it’s not a fit, I’d rather be honest than overpromise. But we can usually find a middle ground that works for both parties.
Q: I’m not sure what I need yet. Can you help define it?
A: Yes. A lot of projects start with “we need help” more than a perfect checklist. The call is where we clarify priorities, identify what will move the needle first, and shape a right-sized scope.
Q: Do you work with clients outside Rhode Island and Southern New England?
Yes. Many projects are remote-friendly for design and brand strategy. For photography, I’m available on-location across Rhode Island and Southern New England, and remote product shoots can be arranged depending on the project.
Onboarding FAQ
Q: What happens first after I reach out?
A: We’ll start with a quick discovery call to get aligned on what you do, who you’re for, and what you want to achieve. The goal is clarity, not guessing, so the direction is based on real context.
Q: What’s the goal of the discovery call?
A: I’m getting to know you and your business so I can guide the work in a way that actually supports growth. We’ll cover your offer, your audience, your goals, your challenges, and what success looks like, then identify the best next step.
Q: What should I bring to the call?
A: A quick overview of your business, any existing brand assets, and examples of visuals you’re drawn to. If you have a website, social, packaging, menus, or current marketing materials, those are helpful too.
Q: What do you focus on when shaping brand direction?
A: Positioning and clarity. I want to understand what makes you different and how your customers make decisions, then build visuals that communicate the value fast and consistently.
Q: Will you share honest guidance if you think there’s a better direction?
A: Yes, in a respectful way. Your preferences matter, and I’ll help shape them into a direction that works for your audience and goals. If I think there’s a stronger option, I’ll explain why and bring alternatives so we can decide together, and ultimately arrive at an end goal that finds the greatest success for you and your brand.
Pricing FAQ
Q: How is pricing determined?
A: Pricing is based on scope, timeline, and what the work needs to accomplish. After the onboarding call, I’ll recommend a right-sized approach and provide a clear estimate based on your goals and priorities.
Q: What if the full project isn’t in budget right now?
A: No problem. We can scale back deliverables, split the work into phases, or extend timelines to meet a number that works, while keeping the overall direction consistent.
Q: Is pricing customized for each project?
A: Most projects are custom because scope, timelines, and deliverables vary. After the onboarding call, I’ll recommend a clear plan and provide a detailed estimate based on what you actually need.
Q: What affects the cost the most?
A: There is not one thing in particular that effects cost more. Complexity, number of deliverables, how many touch points the brand needs to cover, and how quickly it needs to move all factor into the estimated cost. In the case of a photoshoot, usage needs, number of photos to capture, and the scale of the shoot, cost to develop set, exc., would be defining factors.
Q: Can we phase the work if budget is tight?
A: Though bulk planning is ideal, flexibility is a must. If it makes sense, we can prioritize what will move the needle first and build the rest in phases so you still end up with a cohesive system, and end result that brings your brand success and meets your goals.
Q: What if I need to hit pause after our call or estimate is shared?
A: No problem at all. If timing or priorities change, we can pause and pick it back up when you’re ready. Things shift, and I’d rather the project start at the right moment than be forced, never any hard feelings there, and always appreciate honesty and transparency.
