UMass Dartmouth CVPA Senior Show 2016 Wayfinding

Led a four-person wayfinding team for the 2016 CVPA Senior Show. We were tasked with creating a directory system that could guide first-time visitors through the maze of UMass Dartmouth parking lots and into the CVPA building. With the university’s complex architecture, navigating to specific studios and student locations can be especially challenging. Our goal was to help visitors quickly find a particular student and understand where they were located, using the same visual language as the CVPA Senior Show poster.
Our team developed a clear plan and system. Using the original CVPA building blueprints as a foundation, I created a 3D map with color-coded floors and major locations. From there, I assigned each team member key components, including the maze pattern, floor labels, and directional arrows. Everything was built around the shared color system, resulting in a cohesive, easy-to-follow directory placed throughout the building.
